thebedtimejams.
something about this tune captivates me, puts me at peace, and puts be to bed.
it’s not the narrative, but the sound that created the narrative.
some artists try to write music to express a story, but the ones i’ve always loved let the songs create the plot.

thecolorpalette.
these are my colors. they know what i want to whisper to my viewer, they speak for me.
they know how i lie, how green pthalo’s are no more than wondrous shades of blue. my curiosity. that purples and yellows are signs of isolation, because how can sunny yellows end up so muted by a lusty violet? they are my language, my home. i want to see these places that carry all of my colors. i want to feel at home.

I have the audience who will listen,
but no words to speak.
So I will continue to stare

Study: No News is Better Than Fox News
A survey by Farleigh Dickinson University asked 1,185 random people about their news consumption and also random questions about domestic and current events like whether Bashar al-Assad was still in power, the American unemployment rate, and which party holds the most seats in the House of Representatives right now. And this is what they found:
The largest effect is that of Fox News: all else being equal, someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer just 1.04 domestic questions correctly — a figure which is significantly worse than if they had reported watching no media at all.

thebeckynights
literally spending half of my evening in bed. watching law and order SVU, searching the interwebz for the perfect formal dresses for graduation and gatsby party, facebook stalking, neglecting studies, trying to draft out what i’ll write in year books…etcetc.
i mean hey, i’d call it a pretty successful evening.
sometimes i just need to not hear anyone’s voice for a few hours. especially my own.
